I will be doing an “Ask Me Anything” (AMA) on Reddit’s r/GreenParty subreddit on Friday 5/25 starting at 4pm EDT.

I’m a mathematician at heart, a recovering physicist and past college-level adjunct instructor, now current computer scientist working in cybersecurity. I joined the Green Party in 2016 and am now running for state representative in the 45th district. While there are many, many important issues facing our region, country, and planet, I’ve chosen three major themes to my campaign: getting the influence of money out of politics and creating good, transparent, accountable government and elections; protecting our state constitutional rights to clean water and air from fracking and other dangers; and providing comprehensive, guaranteed healthcare through a single payer system.

I believe strongly that the two-party stranglehold on politics must be broken before we can enact these policies in a meaningful, long-term manner. Breaking the two-party system means creating a more democratic system in its place, both politically and economically.

You may have also seen the dramatic photo of my wife being arrested in a public park for protesting Chevron sponsoring an Earth Day event while we were petitioning for ballot access.

I’m looking forward to answering your questions and hearing your thoughts!

UPDATE 1: 5/25/2018, 3:55pm – You can join the AMA on r/GreenParty now!

UPDATE 2: 5/25/2018, 9pm – Thank you for everyone that participated! I enjoyed the questions and look forward to doing future AMAs!
